Increasing social prescribing

Mental health has become an issue that has recently been on the rise in the UK. For non-clinical mental health challenges, social prescribing offers patients the possibility to access a wider range of support services and in turn reliefs some of the financial burden that the NHS is facing. A unique opportunity is on hand to increase these services in Warwickshire. Participants were challenged to think of ways to use behavioural insights to nudge Practice Managers to introduce arts for health and well-being activities in their GP practices and also to nudge participants to attend these activities in the necessary frequency.
